How Metro Ethernet works
Metro Ethernet extends a Layer-2 network between your sites as if they shared one LAN. Gazeti delivers E-Line (point-to-point) and E-LAN (multipoint) services over an L2VPN on its MPLS backbone, with traffic engineering and a committed information rate (CIR) guaranteed by SLA. Your traffic stays transparent — you keep your own addressing and control — while latency is held low and stable, which is exactly what replication, voice and real-time applications need.
Who needs it
It fits enterprises and operators interconnecting branches, data centers and nodes: disaster recovery and replication between sites, data-center-to-data-center links, carrier backhaul, and latency-sensitive enterprise networks. When best-effort internet cannot guarantee the bandwidth or the jitter budget, a committed Layer-2 circuit can.

The CIR is genuinely committed — what you contract is what you get, not an "up to" figure — and the last mile can be served by licensed 5 GHz microwave where fiber is slow or impossible to deploy, including as a redundant path.
